“Life is beautiful! The world is rotten!” Powered by a furious, vivid energy, Manu Chao & Radio Bemba don’t do things by halves. Over the two hours of their live show recorded in Bayonne in July 2008, the amps screech and the horns blaze to the frenetic rhythms of the drums and percussion. This is a riotous trip through Manu Chao’s biggest solo hits (Clandestino, Desaparecido, El Viento, A Cosa…), via Mano Negra favourites Casa Babylon, The Monkey and Mala Vida and reworks of traditional Latin American melodies. As well as two CDs, "Live Baïonarera” contains a DVD with footage of the concert, plus video clips and a short documentary covering their world tour - testimony to the extraordinary popularity, from Tijuana to Moscow, of a unique global music phenomenon.
